Question by : need help with low wattage landscape lights…?
hi-I put in those low wattage landscape lights awhile ago—I needed to replace some of them and bought a new kit…i removed the old broken ones—and put in the new…but 2 of them won’t work…even though the rest of the lights light up further down the line??? the bulbs…replacements are new?? why wouldn’t they work? thanks for any ideas!

I have had that problem in the past and I unhooked and reversed the wires on the line and they worked.It might be that the prongs on the connectors are not going in deep enough due the wire being hard due to age.Unhook and try again..Good Luck..

Question by Ezzy: How can I edit landscape photos without Photoshop?
I want to take up landscape photography as a hobby, but they always look so better when they are edited so the light is a certain hue, or the contrast is much lighter/darker, etc. I don’t have Photoshop or any of those photo editing processes on my computer, so what can I do and are there any websites online where I can do it there?

Gimp is the best freeware alternative to photoshop. I’ve been using it for years.

Don’t even try. Although it is possible to use an inverter, the amperage draw would most likely damage your low voltage system.

Is there anything natural or man-made in your locale that increases or ruins the aesthetics of the landscape. If so, what is it and where are you located? I’m talking about anything in particular whether it be the mountains, river, trees, or whatever. If it’s something that is unnatural like the streets, roads, signs, lights, houses, etc., tell me what it is. I’m intrigued by what you find most attractive about your specific region. It could even be the climate or the wildlife.

What I love about the area in Central Texas I live in is the cornucopia of rolling hills and live oak trees. There is also a multitude of cedar and pecan trees, nonetheless.

Does anyone know anything about LED landscape lights? Currently, I turned on the “generic” low voltage landscape (and they were not cheap) and they are constantly out. Someone told me that come the LED never stops. Does anyone know if this is true? Many thanks Answer best:

LED solar lights use at home to light a step leading to my porch. LED lamps last longer way than usual and the light is much brighter. I will also put LED lights Solar Bud in my maple tree, then mount some lights Solar LED around the roof on my back Deck.Wenn your lights to your power cord, then use a timer, no matter what The lights should you use, they are not going to when you want them auf.Wenn solar LED you as long as the solar panel in direct sunlight during the day, then they should stay up all night. If you buy new, you must leave the solar panel charging for about 2 days before the start. It should be fairly billig.Mal on ebay for some good deals on solar LED lights.

Question by Scissorhead: What Landscape camera settings do I use when using a polarizer filter?
When shooting landscapes I normally higher the aperture to around F18-22
and use a relatively fast shutter speed of around 1/100

Its quite obvious that a polarizer filter will block out some of the light entering the lens, so therefore what settings should I use for taking landscape shots using a polarizer filter, Im guessing I just lower the Aperture a little. Please correct me if im wrong.

If you want to keep your depth of field by using the same aperture, you would use a tripod and a slower shutter speed. I think a polarizering filter decreases the light by one stop.

Question by Paul M: What does it mean to “coil the wire”?
I’m installing some low voltage outdoor landscape lighting. The instructions say that any wiring left over at the end (after the fixtures have been put in place), well as they put it, you can just “coil the wire”. What does that mean? Just coil it in a circle and tie a knot? I figured I shouldn’t leave the end wire exposed.
